I agree that if anyone wants to know what they’d do in King’s day, they only have to ask themselves “what am I doing now to stop systemic racism?” If the answer is more or less, nothing, then there is your answer. Many of the people that love to quote King’s whitewashed colorblind aspects of his “I Have a Dream” speech are the same people that would have hated King in the 1960’s for challenging the racial status quo. It’s much easier to love a dead man as you can mold him into your image then to love a living man who can and will speak for himself. Once again, thank you for your comments.
