FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA — Local web developer, Steve Arnold, 29, used to fight through Northern Virginia traffic for over an hour each way to get to his downtown office in Washington DC, getting up as early as 6am to ensure he got to his office desk by 8:30am.

However, now that Arnold is working remotely due to COVID-19 and has a new 13-second commute — involving opening his bedroom door and walking 10 feet to his kitchen table — Arnold manages to get to work “by noonish… usually.” Though in the past few weeks Arnold claims he will sometimes show up “a little bit later” if he was up late the night before binge watching, ironically, The Office (for the fourth time), having intense arguments with strangers on YouTube about a musical artist he doesn’t even like, regretting something he said in 2nd grade or researching every television appearance Alfonso Ribeiro has made since the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

By press time, Arnold was on his 6th nap of the afternoon and had no idea what day it was.
